MINDING ME

I felt lost and no one bothered to save me.
I understand because I have expected everyone won't come.
I went back and tried to blend in again.
But instead, everyone despise me for being weird.
I know. They don't understand.

I broke my silence and showed up with power.
I understand when they tried to take my confidence.
I fought with my will and changed my ways in order to belong with them.
But instead, they shooed me away and took my place.
I know. They don't understand.

I kept silent for awhile and laid low.
I understand when they ought to open my mouth and speak.
I opened it and produced shocking revelations.
But instead of congratulating their selves in making me speak,
they shunned me and cut me off.
I know. They don't understand...that I UNDERSTAND.
